Life brings with it loss. Unfortunately.

Someone might die.  You might be navigating the loss of a marriage or a job.  A brain injury or dementia may have shifted your life story creating a loss of your sense of normalcy or dreams of your future.  One thing is for certain, loss can shake your life up, leaving you feeling robbed of experiences you had hoped for and fearful of the void that the loss has created.

Loss may end a life, but never the relationship. Not the story you have.  Within these narratives one can discover the routes to one's symptoms, one's needs, and the building blocks of self-compassion.

In the Living Room, I strive to allow you;

1. the safety to share

2. the space and capacity to feel fully seen and heard

3. the empowerment to seek a new sense of normal

When it is impossible to explain, we do not need to attach logic, but instead understand where the symptoms lie within us and the stories those feelings are attached to.  Within those stories one can mourn. I will sit with you, then guide you towards learning how to live with the losses of your life.

LivingRoom Wellness is situated upon the traditional territories of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, and Mississaugas. This land is covered by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, which was an agreement between the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabek to share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes. This land is covered by the Between the Lakes Purchase, 1792, between the Crown and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. The region is home to many Indigenous Peoples from across Turtle Island. I strive to do more and learn more about the rich history of this land so that I can better understand roles as a resident, neighbour, collaborater, and caretaker. Furthermore, this learning will deepen my understanding of my privileges as a settler on this territory.
