I believe that mental wellness is a journey.Sometimes, you need a little support to find your path again.

Hi, I'm Nina

Are you finding yourself worried? Drained? Worn-Out? Overwhelmed? Do you have thoughts of How did you get here? Are your thoughts consumed by the how-tos, who-wills, and what-ifs - that have taken over? Has your life become a domino of challenges?

Listen, it isn’t easy to focus on what to work on first. Or even how?! Oftentimes, we are unsure what will happen if another burden comes our way. I hear you. No one wants to feel overwhelmed.

I might be able to help.

I am a Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
I am a Coach.
I am also a teacher (OCT).  â€‹â€‹

A few years ago, I realized that many of my life choices had led me to places where I found myself in helping professions, ongoing learning about mental wellness, or living through or walking alongside people with complex stories of challenge. Through all these experiences, I have learned how people yearn to be seen, heard, and understood in these times. This led me to create The Living Room --  I have strived to create a place that embodies the support structures needed when one reaches out to therapy.

Inclusive. Warm. Welcoming -- The Living Room is where I hope you feel safe to share your story, in the way you would like to share and at the pace you feel comfortable.

I strive to provide a space of comfort and unconditional care for your wellness journey.  It is the "room" in which we learn to "live" fully again. As a therapist, teacher, single mom, coach, novelist, and artist, I bring compassion, understanding, and insight. I ensure privacy and respect. I recognize that your schedule and the traditional therapists' schedules - don't always jive.  As such, I offer late night sessions (7pm-11pm) and also offer single session and short-term therapy.

Seeking out therapy can be challenging in itself.  I would love to chat and

discuss how I might help in your journey towards wellness.

Let's talk.

LivingRoom Wellness is situated upon the traditional territories of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, and Mississaugas. This land is covered by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, which was an agreement between the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabek to share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes. This land is covered by the Between the Lakes Purchase, 1792, between the Crown and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. The region is home to many Indigenous Peoples from across Turtle Island. I strive to do more and learn more about the rich history of this land so that I can better understand roles as a resident, neighbour, collaborater, and caretaker. Furthermore, this learning will deepen my understanding of my privileges as a settler on this territory.
